Day 13, March 13. Cuteness overload
Yesterday, as promised, Staten met Jilly. Jilly is my very good friends 12 week old Rottweiler/German Shepard mix. She only weighs 12 lbs. Staten shared his toys, his bed, his home (some time with the cats), his treats and his love with Jilly. When he realized she was a little nervous he lied down on the floor and let her crawl on him, smell him, bark at him and lick him while he lies there patiently waiting for her to understand it was ok. DONT BULLY MY BREED. Pitbulls ARE NOT inherently dangerous. Do not let the media and pitbull haters skew your thoughts (on anything). Form your own opinions, come up with your own ideas and please, please, don’t judge if you don’t know.
Day 12, March 11. FREINDS!
Jilly and Marley are two friends puppies Staten will be getting to play with this week! Marley is a bluenose pitbull and his mom (my very close friend) is a pitty mom advocate sister in arms! Lilly is a pitty, rotty, Shepard mix and Staten (and I) are pretty excited to meet them both!
Day 11, March 8. A fun filled day for Staten. The day began with a car ride to a nearby neighbourhood where our vet (the one I used to be employed at) is located. Staten got to visit with the girls at the hospital while I bought some food for our kitties, get some pets from some hospital customers, have a nice long walk through the neighbourhood and then a special visit with a local pet store where he met a fellow pitbull owner and enthusiast, a kitten and some new friends. A day well had. Special thanks to the ever wonderful and supportive people at Westbro Animal Hospital and Masters ‘N Dogs Specialty.
